Have you signed up to attend the People’s Climate March? The main march is patterned after the March on Washington, and will take place in New York City this Sunday, September 21, 2014, and smaller events are taking place in other cities across the world and the United States for those who can’t make it to NYC.
Marchers will show the United Nations Climate Summitrepresentatives that the world is watching, and that we desire real action to mitigate the effects of climate change. The Climate Summit is slated for September 23, 2014, at the UN Headquarters in New York City.

The People’s Climate March has brought together over 1,100 organizations from around the world to plan the largest, and most diverse, climate march in history. The march is already demonstrating that climate change, once seen as a divisive issue, is becoming a unifying political concern across labor, environment, faith and justice groups. The march will take place on September 21, just two days before President Obama and world leaders gather at the United Nations for a historic climate summit.
The main sponsor behind this event is 350.org, an organization started by Bill McKibben and others, organizing at the grassroots level to bring the carbon dioxide particles per million in the atmosphere to a sustainable level: 350 ppm or fewer.
